ASBESTOS DUCTS – HOSES ARE RED & HOSES ARE GREY – HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY

Red Hoses – St. Valentine’s Day, observed every year on February 14th, is a public celebration; in many countries around the world.

Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to say something sweet,
whether in person or jotted down in a card or handwritten note to your love.

Poetry is about as romantic as words can get: Saying, “I love you” to your partner, every so often, might be sweet; but can get a little repetitive.

Exploring these same emotions in a more artistic manner, like through poetry, can remind you and your partner of the strength of your relationship on Valentine’s Day. The most famous Valentine’s Day poem, first published in 1784, was in a collection of English nursery rhymes:

Violets
Violets Are Blue

“The Hose is Red, the Hose’s are Grey,
The honey’s sweet, and so are…

Oh Sorry!

“The Rose is Red, the Violet’s are blue,
The honey’s sweet, and so are you
Thou are my love and I am thine;
I drew thee to my Valentine:
The lot was cast and then I drew,
And Fortune said it shou’d be you.”

Celebrating Valentines Day with Red Roses & Hoses

Red is an attention-grabbing, emotionally powerful colour, that enhances physical reactions and simulates minds to make quicker decisions; this is why you’d never give a red rose to someone who is merely a friend! The symbol of passion and deep love are, therefore, red roses; Red Roses are bought as gifts in romantic relationships or for those wishing for one. The Association of red is with overwhelming feelings of desire, passion and love.

It’s known to make our blood pressure, heart and respiration rates increase. Sounds about like how love makes you feel, right? That’s precisely why red is the colour of Valentine’s Day.

And it’s not just about love, that enhances physical reactions with red, it’s football too. Various studies have suggested teams that wear red win more than those that dress up in any other colour. It can be just about anything: from red cars and buying red clothes to using red hoses. Red cars have a lower probability of being involved in accidents and have cheaper car insurance; while a red dress, of a waitress, is likely to mean more tips for her!

But How Would Red Benefit Your Industry?

Asbestos Removal, taken as an example application, involves blowing fresh air into the room and extracting contaminated air out. Therefore, for such an application, two asbestos ducts/hoses are required. The extraction of contaminated air will spoil the duct in use, but ducting for blowing fresh air, into a room, would remain safe and clean for reuse. Hence, using a vibrant red hose, for extracting contaminated air out of a room, can safely be identified for safe disposal; since red is also a sign of danger.

The use of red ducts/hoses, therefore, is a common practice in dangerous applications; such as the extraction of contaminated air in asbestos removal or during the extraction of chemical and solvent fumes at high temperatures. (saving enormous application costs while introducing workers’ safety).
