David Collier (67), Managing Director of Masterflex Technical Hoses Ltd (Mastertflex UK), with a lifetime experience in the flexible hose industry, is set to retire today.
Born in Eccles, near the Manchester Ship Canel, David Collier has spent almost four decades living in Delph, a village in the Saddleworth civil parish of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham.
Having spent many years at Compoflex, Delph, David Collier was talent-searched to set up the business. From Delph, he flew to the Masterflex Group Headquarters at Gelsenkirchen in the Ruhr Valley and returned with a remit to Masterflex UK.
David Collier joined the group in 1996 and spearheaded Masterflex UK from a regional firm to a leading supplier to industry throughout the UK and Ireland; the Masterflex Group has enjoyed substantial success since being set up by David Collier.
He describes his 25 years in the job as the happiest time in his professional life:

David Collier, in his retirement, with his wife, Bev, plans to spend more time with their family & grandchildren!
The firm has now appointed, from Masterflex UK, the extremely hardworking and very knowledgeable, Senior Member of the Sales Team, Colin Dawson, as the new Managing Director.
